Description

BP HACCP coat 1673-500-71, mint. Where clothing forms part of HACCP or IFS procedures, a closed construction matters more than decorative details: nothing should detach or fall out over the product.

For 1673-500-71, BP uses 65% polyester, 35% cotton, 215 gsm fabric suited to regular industrial laundering and daily production work.

Food industry clothing differs from ordinary workwear in its construction, not its fabric. The logic is simple: anything that can detach from a garment will eventually end up in the product. So there are no buttons, no rivets, no external applied parts and no open pockets.

How it is built

A concealed zip instead of buttons. Pockets with closing flaps — the contents do not spill when you lean over the line. An adjustable elasticated waistband with no buckle, so it does not have to be tightened with hands that have just been in raw material. Seams are finished to avoid fibre shedding.

When a coat is enough. For zones where the product is packaged or contact with it is limited: packing, warehouse, laboratory, goods-in. Worn over your own clothing, removed in seconds when leaving the zone. The mint colour is useful for visual zone separation — it is immediately clear who came from where.

The fibre ratio is chosen for industrial laundering: two thirds polyester for resistance to repeated high-temperature processing and dimensional stability, one third cotton for the breathability without which a shift in a hot production hall is unmanageable.

DIN 10524

The German standard for workwear in the food industry. It divides operations into three risk classes according to how exposed the product is during processing, from packaged to fully open. Requirements on clothing increase with the class.

The standard covers not only construction but also garment handling: change frequency, wash regime, separation of clean and soiled flows. If your site undergoes HACCP or IFS audits, staff clothing is one of the items examined.

Industrial laundering

The garments are designed for high-temperature washing and processing in industrial laundries. Sizing stays stable after repeated cycles.

Who it suits

Food production, meat processing, dairy and bakery operations, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics manufacturing, packing lines, food warehousing, catering.

What to confirm before ordering

The specific DIN 10524 risk class depends on the version. If your operation works to a defined class, let us know — we will select the matching version and confirm it in the documentation.
